NARUTO: Shadow Rising trailer — the official Super Teaser PV

The announcement landed as a teaser built entirely from Masashi Kishimoto's own storyboards, closing the “NARUTO: What's Next?” panel at New York Comic Con on October 10, 2026. Watch it here, then read what each scene actually tells us.

What the trailer shows, scene by scene

Scene 1

The 2014 ending

The PV opens by recalling where it all stopped: NARUTO concluded in Weekly Shonen Jump in November 2014, after 700 chapters. It is a deliberate reminder that this is the original creator picking the pen back up.

Scene 2

The Hokage Rock, still under construction

A shot of the Seventh Hokage's monument mid-construction — the clearest chronology hint in the teaser, placing the imagery around Naruto's own Hokage era. Exact timeline placement remains unannounced.

Scene 3

Adult Team 7, redrawn by Kishimoto

New adult designs appear throughout: Naruto wearing the Hokage hat, a smiling Kakashi, a dignified Sasuke, and Sakura holding baby Sarada — all drawn from Kishimoto's own pencil storyboards.

Scene 4

Naruto vs. Sasuke, again

The teaser builds to a dramatic Naruto vs. Sasuke confrontation — a callback to the franchise's central rivalry, with no story details attached to it yet.

Scene 5

The closing card

It ends on Kishimoto's pencil storyboards behind the words “drawn by Masashi Kishimoto — a new NARUTO manga”, and the provisional working title: NARUTO: Shadow Rising.
